Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Hello from Leipzig

Wow, my internet is working at the moment...that means: Time for a new entry!

I'm in Leipzig at the moment though we'll drive home tomorrow. I'd like to stay longer but there's plenty of exciting stuff to attend in August, so I'd better come home

I had two wonderful shootings here, one with lovely Minette and one with amazing Lilif Ilane. It was so much fun!!
And I got the pics from my first "meeting" with Lilif (on the Leipziger Buchmesse 2011 in March)...they are SO wonderful!!

Lilif, what you're doing is magic!

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics of the shooting a few days ago, guess they'll be amazing!

Actually, I wanted to do a 3rd shooting in Leipzig, dark romantic gothic rococo...but the weather was rather rude (means cloudy and rainy) and we had to cancel it

So today me and my best friend went to the Völkerschlacht Denkmal where we had to climb many reeeaaally narrow stairs to get up to the platform (I'm slightly claustrophobic -.-) and once we came to the platform we realised that it was full of wasps up there (no one seemed to be eager to clean the rubbish bins...). Well, as I am quite panicky when it comes to wasps, we went down instantly.

But it was nevertheless worth coming for I bought a really nice steampunky 18th century pistol and a matching powderflask

Now I only need to design and sew a Steampunk outfit and I can create another set for a shooting and of course I'll have an outfit for the WGT 2012

Well...as I am really tired from climbing stairs and beeing cooked by the sun, I'll do a bit of reading and be just lazy^^

Next weekend: Fashion Show for Slacks Fashion at the Mera Luna! Looking forward to it and I'm quite excited!!
